Review: I. Cannot. Wait. Until. The. Next. Book. That's all I have too say... just kidding:) But the first part I am dead serious!! I thought this book kept  me on my toes the whole time. Except when Gwen started being like, "I need to know everything about you." *Gwen's creepy face*

This series has come such a long way (actually pretty short, considering this is only the third book) and it has improved by sooooooooo much. Compared to the first book, I just enjoyed this one much more. I still wish Logan could be a little more 3D as a person. Like with feelings and stuff. I enjoyed reading about Logan telling Gwen to take her big nose and take it out of his business. I cheering him on! Gwen had to realize by then how nosy she is. Sometimes you can't really blame her... wait, yes you can! She has these awesome powers to look through a person's past and stuff. She can use it to help the elders at the school, she does but then she just wants to go through her friend's minds and grab every little detail too? So wrong.

Gwen also was being a jerk to Daphne. I mean stop worrying about yourself and take a look around... your BFF is suffering.

Okay, done my Gwen rant:)

Anyways, I enjoyed this book. Putting Gwen aside the villains were awesome! I know I shouldn't be cheering them on, but they really fooled Gwen. I mean Gwen's opposite does so many things to change Gwen's direction of thinking. I just thought she was awesome. There are some small plots but they intertwine with the main plot beautifully. It didn't seem confusing at all. If I tried to do that I would probably have people screaming in confusion:) I, myself scream in confusion sometimes.

The beginning set the book off perfectly and you cold already tell what the main purpose of the book would be. To be honest, some parts were predictable. Like I knew who Loki's Champion was, even though Gwen hadn't figured it out.

I will say this again, but the ending was my favourite part. A bit sad for Gwen, but wonderful. It was interesting how she used her powers to take the other guy's life. But then she realizes what happened and freaks out. And it's just adorable how she cares that she might take Logan's life away by touching him. I thought that was the end of their relationship, but they overcame it... together.

I have ran out of things to say about this book. It was just really good. A wonderful journey this series takes you on to see how Gwen saves the world, before everything goes crashing down.

As most people know, there is a fourth book coming out - Crimson Frost - on December 24th, 2012. Right on time for Christmas! And a fifth book is coming out in August 2013. Can't wait to get my hands on those books!!!

This is the second book in the Mythos Academy series. I finished the first book, Touch of Frost, which left me waiting for more, because I really want to know what happens between Gwen and Logan, they can’t leave me hanging!

It’s the Winter Carnival at Mythos Academy – where the students spend a trip at a fancy ski resort. It may sound like Gwen is going to have a great time… think again. After figuring out the Ashton family are all Reapers, Gwen has to watch her back, because the Ashton’s won’t take the killing of there youngest daughter very easily. Gwen is making sure is careful, but she wants to have fun and let go too. Since Logan Quinn broke her heart and ignores her, Gwen wants to forget and what better way to do that with Preston from the New York Academy? Now that Gwen is trying to have fun, Logan leaps back in the picture. Gwen dosen’t know what to do between both guys, especially since someone is trying to kill her. Gwen thinks it’s one of her own classmates and decides to put the blame on him, except she is on the wrong track. In a whirlwind of incidents and confusion with Logan, Gwen has to figure out who is after her and why.

Arrrrrgggghhhh! The tension between Logan and Gwen is literally frying my brain! First Logan is there, then he’s not, then he is… make up your mind, Logan! Okay, putting that aside, this was a pretty good book, but there was a thing I noticed, it was when Gwen was explaining something it would sound exactly like one of the sentences from the first book. Or maybe I’m just paranoid. I thought that Logan was a bit confusing when he would look like he was going to kiss Gwen and then goes and makes out with his girlfriend. I bet you Gwen was probably confused too. When Gwen met Preston at the party and later Daphne said there was no one by the name of Preston at the New York Academy, it became pretty obvious who he was. There was a part that kind of freaked me out, as well as confuses me – when Oliver goes to the extremes to just “scare” Gwen from saying his secret. I thought that was a bit exaggerated. One part I’m interested to know more about, is if the Fenrir wolf comes back to Gwen as her companion. That would probably make me read the third book. Well, I would read it also because I want to know who Loki’s Champion is!! I think Loki’s Champion will look exactly like Gwen with a few changes. That’s my guess though, I could be completely wrong about that. This book ended very well, because I was left wanting more. I actually stared at the wall thinking of all the possible outcomes, but I have a feeling that a third book wouldn’t be able to cover everything that is going to happen. This means there might be a fourth book… Anyways, all in all this was a good read, which means READ IT!

Review: When I first saw the purple eyes on the cover, I knew this book would have supernatural fighting powers. I mean, how many people have purple eyes and not have some kind of power? I know, none… except in books.

In, Touch of Frost, Gwen Frost dosen’t believe in all that gods, goddesses and monsters mumbo jumbo, despite having a gift of her own. A gift to touch something or someone and know everything about it instantly. After Gwen’s mother dies, her grandmother sends her to Mythos Academy, where she will to master her powers. When popular-mean girl Jennifer Ashton is murdered in the library and the Bowl of Tears are stolen, Gwen knows something isn’t right about this incident. Especially since she was at the library and should have been killed too. With the help of frenemy, Daphne and her own gift, Gwen slowly begins to unravel the mystery behing Jennifer’s death. She may even have a bit of help from resident bad boy, Logan Quinn - as if Gwen dosen’t have enough problems on her plate (even though this one is tasty!).

As a child, my mom always told me about the myths, never the fairytales. So when I heard this book had ninjas, spartans, vikings, samurais and so many other things, I was so excited, I was sure that this book would not dissappoint. And it didn’t, I throughly enjoyed the book and reading about Gwen’s adventure of learning how to use her powers for good. Although, there were some parts that were a bit repetitive. For example, she keeps bringing up Paige’s abusive history like that’s all she can think about. Also, whenever she meets Logan Quinn they’re always bumping into eachother or Logan is saving her. But that’s all I have to complain about. Gwen is an interesting character. I love how she has a completely different style from the other girls at the Academy, who only care about what’s “in”. Gwen loves comic books, because they always have a good ending and has a loving grandmother, who bakes for her all the time – well, atleast when she isn’t giving psychic readings. If you haven’t guessed it yet, psychic powers run in the family, daughter to daughter. Logan Quinn didn’t jump out at me much. He appeared mostly whenever Gwen needed saving from vicious monsters or they bumped into each other – which happened quite often. It’s a bit surprising at the end *spoiler* to see her become Nike’s Champion, but if Nike saw something in her, I’m in no position to say otherwise or she might strike me with a sword. All that said, this was a pretty awesome book and I would suggest it to anyone who loved romance and mythology served together.
